Quick Answer: What Is Ice Weak To?
Ice-type Pokémon are weak to Fire, Fighting, Rock and Steel. These attacking types deal 2× damage to a pure Ice type. Ice resists Ice.

What Is Ice Weak To in Pokémon?
Ice is a great attacking type but one of the weakest defensive types: it has four weaknesses and resists only itself.
A pure Ice-type Pokémon takes 2× damage from these attacking types:
- Fire (2×): common moves include Flamethrower and Fire Blast. See how Fire works in the Fire type guide.
- Fighting (2×): common moves include Close Combat and Drain Punch. See how Fighting works in the Fighting type guide.
- Rock (2×): common moves include Stone Edge and Rock Slide. See how Rock works in the Rock type guide.
- Steel (2×): common moves include Iron Head and Flash Cannon. See how Steel works in the Steel type guide.
The final result changes when a Ice Pokémon has a second type. Some combinations add a 4× weakness, and others cancel one of the weaknesses above. Use the checker at the top of this page for exact numbers.
