Quick Answer: What Is Normal Weak To?
Normal-type Pokémon are weak to Fighting. This attacking type deals 2× damage to a pure Normal type. Normal resists no types and is immune to Ghost.

What Is Normal Weak To in Pokémon?
Normal is the most common type in the games. It has only one weakness, but it is also the only type with no resistances at all.
A pure Normal-type Pokémon takes 2× damage from these attacking types:
- Fighting (2×): common moves include Close Combat and Drain Punch. See how Fighting works in the Fighting type guide.
The final result changes when a Normal Pokémon has a second type. Some combinations add a 4× weakness, and others cancel one of the weaknesses above. Use the checker at the top of this page for exact numbers.

- Abilities like Pixilate, Aerilate, Refrigerate and Galvanize turn Normal moves into Fairy, Flying, Ice or Electric moves and boost their power.
- Many key utility moves are Normal type, such as Fake Out, Protect and Recover.
